Karen Henwood

Financial Oversight Associate

Karen is a bookkeeper at Carlin & Associates. Prior to finding and interest in accounting and bookkeeping, she spent 10 years as an automation and controls engineer, primarily in the pharmaceutical industry. She found accounting after being asked to take a financial accounting class while helping with the books at her family’s company. The topic just clicked and she has been working on transitioning careers ever since. She is looking forward to expanding her knowledge in a new field while taking the same detailed care of client books as she did of the complex industrial processes she used to work on. She enjoys solving accounting puzzles and keeping things tidy, consistent and on time.

Karen has a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Systems Engineering from University of California at Davis where she graduated with Highest Honors.
